BIKE STORAGE IN THE BIKE RACKS
This is a reminder to Siena residents and renters regarding outside storage of bikes.
Bike racks are here for the convenience of active cyclists, particularly in season. Bikes stored in bike racks that have flat tires, rusty frames, split or cracked seats, etc. are not in active use and need to be removed from the racks..
Such bikes, if left in a bike rack for more than 30 days will be considered abandoned and are subject to being hauled away.
There are several reasons for this action:
- Summer is particularly hard on bikes left outdoors. Strong sunshine, heavy rain, high humidity and the occasional hurricane can ruin a bike very quickly.
- Derelict bikes are an eyesore and reflect poorly on our community.
Bike owners who are gone for an extended period of time need to store their bikes in their unit, not on a bike rack or under a stairwell.
Thank you.
